Werner Schäfer, camp commandant and SA-Sturmführer regularly greeted international visitors and guests from within Germany and guided them around the concentration camp in Oranienburg. Many reports appeared in the German press about the camp, newsreel from the camp was shown in almost 5000 cinemas and even one live radio broadcast has been saved for history.
