The Ravensbrück Memorial mourns the death of Polish Ravensbrück survivor Wanda Kulczyk-Rosiewicz, who died on 9 July 2021 at the age of 99.

Wanda Kulczyk (born 13 May 1922) was deported to Ravensbrück concentration camp in September 1941 with 273 other women and was given camp number 7821. On 1 August 1942 she was taken to the infirmary and underwent forced leg surgery. On 16 September 1942 she was again the victim of an operation as part of the medical experiments. In August 1946 she testified to this as a witness for the main commission investigating the crimes of the Hitler regime in Poland. She was a member of the Ravensbrück Association and returned to Ravensbrück for numerous memorial events until 2019. She enjoyed speaking to young people and for over nine years was involved in the project "This must not be forgotten" of the Institute of National Remembrance in Poland.
