Ravensbrück Memorial Museum
Film Screening & Discussion: “Block 10”
04. November 2026 – 19:00 Uhr
In early 1943, an area was established at the Auschwitz concentration camp that held a special place within the main camp: Block 10. Behind its walls, the SS imprisoned hundreds of Jewish women. They became subjects of medical experiments, were systematically abused, mutilated, and robbed of their future.
The film brings together a variety of fates: women fighting to survive, asserting their dignity, and supporting one another; doctors who torture and kill in the name of ideology; and prisoners forced to choose between conformity and resistance. BLOCK 10 tells the story of a self-contained microcosm of horror and the people trapped within it. From the women’s perspective, a polyphonic portrait emerges of violence, survival, and the question of what humanity can mean under inhuman conditions.
